whichgod
So many religions claim their God to be the only God, and at the same time it's religion that has caused so many of the world's conflicts. Even among the many so-called 'Christian' churches. Are they all just different ways to the same God? How can anyone be sure that they've found the 'right' way - or even if there is only one right way? Is there anything we can look for to be sure that a church is really the church of God?
Presented by Jock Duncan
Jock was 'born again' as an older teenager in the early 1950s and quickly proved to be an inspiring and challenging preacher. He has shared the gospel all over the world and been involved in establishing churches in Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Hobart and Christchurch, New Zealand. He has seen many lives changed through the power of prayer and the application of faith, and can certainly attest to having 'found God'.

This session was presented on the weekend of 5-6 Nov 2011. Listen to the audio recording here: Part 1; Part 2.

ourfuture
When you look at our world today, you have to stop and ask - where is our future headed? The global financial crisis is still affecting millions of people and now whole countries are going bankrupt. How has this happened and why can't we just fix it? And what about the Middle East - with Israel-Palestine peace talks and the Arab Spring overthrowing dictators and calling for democracy, are we headed for global peace? What does the Bible say about all of this? Should we be worried or hopeful about our future?
Presented by Dan Sunderland
Dan holds an MBA from Macquarie Uni, was a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and has a keen interest in global economics as well as Bible prophecy.

This session was presented on the weekend of 12-13 Nov 2011. Listen to the audio recording here: Part1; Part2; Slides.

ouraddictions
Alcohol, smoking, drugs, gambling, sex - so many things that are supposed to provide pleasure and a break from some of the tediousness and pain that life can sometimes throw at us. And yet all of these 'pleasures' have a sting in the tail and contribute way too much to our spiralling health costs, broken families and dysfunctional children. They entice us with pleasure but cause so much pain. If you're trapped by addiction or know someone else who is, is there a way out?
Presented by Chris Kernahan
Chris is a reformed drug addict himself. At the age of 21 he'd spent ten years with his life at the mercy of hard drugs, smoking and alcohol. But then he listened in on someone telling their brother that he could be free: that he could understand the reason for life and know God personally. And it happened to Chris. At 7:10pm on April 19th 1981 at an Adelaide beach he was instantaneously and permanently freed of his addictions with no medical intervention, no withdrawal symptoms and no more cravings. Chris knows what he's talking about if you need help with addiction.

This session was presented on the weekend of 19-20 Nov 2011. Listen to the audio recording here.

Ourworries
Depression in its various forms is a raging disease within our society. While medical treatment can be effective at managing depression, there is little expectation that they can cure it. Come and hear how depression can be healed, and from people that have experienced release from this crippling condition
Presented by Bob Beverley
Bob has worked with many people to manage depression - often with medical help to start with, but has then seen them completely delivered through the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit.

ourfamilies
There's an African saying that it takes a village to raise a child, but that no longer seems to be the approach in many Western societies. Parents are under pressure for both to work full time. Family breakdowns are more common than ever. Some jurisdictions are enacting laws to prevent parents physically disciplining their children in an effort to control child abuse. More teenagers than ever are running away from abusive homes and even committing suicide. We're more conscious of our responsibilities as a society but how can families ever be functional with all the pressures of modern society?
Presented by Dave Sunderland
Dave is a husband of one, father of three and grandfather of seven.
